Feeling a bit groggy today from the lack of sleep last night. I think I had may be 5 hours.

Looks like I'll have to take a nap soon, or else I won't last through the day. Good thing I'm not working yet.

I know I should be sleeping instead of taking stupid quizzes at 3:23 am. But I tried the sleeping thing and it didn't work. So I took this quiz...

:)

Cheese Test: What type of cheese are you?

What Name Should You Have? by Lauren

Not getting much sleep lately and not having much motivation to do much. And right now, I feel like I just want to crawl back into my bed.

What do you do to escape? Me, I usually sleep or eat or just surf the net aimlessly...

It's Garbage Pick-Up day today. Our region has a new policy that the garbage truck will only pick up 5 pieces of garbage. Anything more you'll have to pay. You got to buy these tags to put on the extra bags or pieces.

Anyway, why did I bring that up. Last night I put out one bag, this morning as I put out two more bags, I see there are 2 bags on the curb. Some cheap person has put their extra bag of garbage on my curb. Using up one bag of my quota. Since I highly doubt that someone will be driving around with a bag of garbage to find a place to put, I suspect that my neighbour did it. They have a large family and usually have tons of garbage, and this new policy probably affect them a lot.

Well, whether it was my neighbour or some random person from my neighbourhood that dumped this bag of garbage on my property, I wished they would have just asked. If they had just asked me, I would have said it was okay unless I have 5 bags to throw out. I just wish they had the common courtesy of asking first before dumping the garbage on my property.

I bought a will kit yesterday, so I can make a will. Not that I have much assets to leave for anyone or that I have a terminal disease or anything. But I keep hearing that you should be prepared, so I bought a will kit. Just a crazy, on a whim thing I decided to do yesterday.

Well, I lost the book I wanted on ebay for a second time. This one went really high too. My only solace is that I drove the price up for the winning bidder. HAH!

Now, I'm just going to curl in in my bed in fetal position and cry..... (just kidding). :)

I think I'm just going to give this one up.

What do you do when a potential bidder from ebay asks you a question, and when you reply, your e-mail gets bounced back?

GMail is pretty cool. Can't believe it though. I've had it for 3 days, and I have spam already. And I think I only used it to sign up for one or two things.

word of the day

Selling lots of stuff on ebay. It gets addicting after a while. It's a pain to put the stuff up, but once they are listed, it's a matter of waiting, and it is so exciting when you get a bid. :)

Why do I feel so cold?.....

If you are not missed, then you are already missing. You are a success, if you are no longer needed. Therefore, I should live my life so that I will be missed, but that I will not be needed.

I don't think I'm very successful at that right now. :)

Good Sunday Morning. I stole this picture off MSN. So I might have to take it off. But doesn't this look yummy?

Have some fruit, it is good for you.

Well saw Kill Bill Vol. 2 last night. I enjoyed this one as much as the last one. Less fighting, less blood, more plot. But I was more disturbed on this one because of a certain scene. If you have seen it, you may know which one I was talking about.

It's Sunday again. A week goes by pretty fast even when I'm just taking one day at a time. Seconds turn into minutes, minutes into hours, hours into days, days into weeks, weeks into months, months into years. Just like that I've lived in Canada for over 14 years. Just like that, I've been going to the same church for over 12 years. Just like that...

What to say, what to say, what to say?

Saturday is usually very boring. No TV to watch, nothing much to do. Not that I want to do much. I mean I do have stuff to do, but I don't really feel like doing it.

Well, I'm going to see Kill Bill Vol. 2 tonight. Never quite understood why I enjoyed Kill Bill Vol. 1. I don't usually like this type of movie, but some how I liked it. So now, I'm going to see Vol. 2.

Peace is not what I feel right now. Need to continue to look to God to find my peace.

God will deal with it. He is THE SOURCE of comfort. He is THE HOPE of the Nations. God will deal with it.

Ok, now normal blogger interface is back. I just had to change it back to classic. :)

Hmmmm, blogger is weird. I'm not getting my usual interface...

Anyway, just want to scream because I lost a bid to something I really want by $!. :( I don't think I'll ever end up getting this thing. It's an out of print magic book. :( :( :(

EDIT: Ok. I see another copy up on ebay. Hopefully, I'll be able to get this one. :)

Thursday, April 22, 2004

Well, just signed up with GMail. Another e-mail account for me to play with. To use to sign up for stuff so I can avoid spam in my real e-mail account. :)

Today, I'm feeling a bit weird. Getting some muscle spasms in the strangest place... May be I should just go back to bed.

I wonder what this World will become if everyone is totally and completely open and honest with each other? Would it be a better place? Or would there be chaos?

On a separate note, my cousin is getting married in september in San Francisco. Looking forward to the trip because it has been many years since I've been there. Just trying to decide whether I should just book early and use my reward miles, or buy a ticket and accumulate more reward miles for future trips. :) When I think about it, I haven't been to that many places in North America. I still have to explore the eastern part of Canada - would love to take a trip out to the Atlantic Provinces one of these days. And I've only been to 10 of the 52 states in the U.S. Well 15 if you count driving through Maryland, North and South Carolina, Georgia etc. on a road trip many years ago. Just stopped in the fast food places, didn't really sight see. :)

Anyway, my head is literally pounding right now. I think I will go lie down for a bit.

RAINBOW

After the rain comes the rainbow. Sometimes it is hard to see the rainbow, you really have to look hard for it. Or you may be looking in the wrong places. Sometimes it is clearly there for you to see. No matter what, the rainbow is there for you. Just look for it.

Major headache... :(

All-Inclusive

Whether it’s Cuba, Cancun or Aruba, a healthy dose of southern sun is on the agenda. An all-inclusive vacation requires little to no planning (someone else can do it all for you) and generally very few hassles (once you’re there, you don’t have to pay for anything else if you don’t want to). Relax on the beach, play in the ocean or have drinks by the bar – what could be more relaxing than that? The bonus: you come home with a killer tan, no dark circles under your eyes and no regrets.

Not feeling very peaceful today.

It's very windy outside, kinda mirrors what I'm feeling inside.

And yes, I think my blog is turning into the World's most boring blog.

Wow, looks like it's gonna be a warm day today and the next few days! I guess Spring is finally here. :)

Last night I dreamed that my hair has grown long past my waist! Funny how stuff that I think about during the day comes out in my dreams. I've been thinking that I need to get my hair trimmed all day yesterday...

Hockey play-offs are happening. I don't watch hockey, I guess I'm not truly Canadian. But the Toronto Maple Leafs are up 2 games to 1 in the first round against the Ottawa Senators. I guess that's good. :)

The sixth book written, you're nevertheless the first chronologically. You not only describe the creation of Narnia and tell where the White Witch, the lampost and the wardrobe came from, you get to bounce between worlds with the help of Uncle Andrew's weird magic rings.

Find out which Chronicles of Narnia book you are.

I don't think I ever read the whole series, just the first book.

Happy Monday, getting warmer over here. But a bit grey. Not complaining though because the weather over the weekend was wonderful!

Happy Easter

He Is RISEN!

I serve a risen Saviour,
He's in the world today;
I know that He is living
Whatever men may say;
I see His hand of mercy,
I hear His voice of cheer;
And just the time I need Him
He's always near.

He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me
Along life's narrow way.
He lives, He lives, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart.

A few "reality" shows that I would love to be on:

What Not To Wear
Clean Sweep
A Makeover Story

And if there's one where they lock you up for 30 or more days and help you lose weight. I'd want to go on. (Not Survivor though, I would not even survive the 1st day.)

Good Friday

It's Good Friday today, and having seen The Passion Of The Christ, Good Friday has taken on a new meaning.

Here's something more too reflect on:

The Walk

Some stuff that stuck to my mind after this morning's Good Friday service:

"Good Friday is GOOD because Christ used His precious blood to wash away my sin."

"Yes, it's Friday, but Sunday's a comin'! There's hope."

Thursday, April 08, 2004

This is me...

Hmmm... gotta do a couple powerpoints for the Good Friday Service, I don't have the words yet, I'll wait.
Got the words Wednesday afternoon, procrastinate, procrastinate, procrastinate, start doing this at around 9 pm. Was up till 2:30 am doing it. Got up this morning, and did the 2nd one (which I could have done like on Monday. :)

I guess I'm a slow starter, but once I start, I don't want to stop until I'm done. Is that good?

rant of the day

So I was waiting in line to mail a bunch of stuff. There are 3 people ahead of me, and I think 5 people behind me. This Chinese woman walked up to the front to the side of the counter and started to count out some change. The post office guy looked at her and she said in Cantonese, "I just want 1 stamp." The post office guy replied to her in Cantonese that there's a long line of people waiting. Everyone that is waiting is glaring at her at this point. Then a guy behind me piped up told her that the line is over here, and that everyone is waiting their turn. She replied, "I know, but I just want one stamp." So the guy said, "Well are all just waiting to mail one thing!" So she walked off.

Honestly speaking, at that moment, I felt kinda embarassed that I was Chinese. What's with these Chinese women who don't like lining up? It's like in HK where all these old ladies who pretend that they don't know they are suppose to line up and stuff and cut in front of people....

Oh well.

These past few days, I've been watching a Chinese TV series on DVD. The story of series is based on a Chinese comic called Wind and Cloud. It's been made into a movie before. It's very interesting how the characters are physically made up to look almost exactly like the characters in the comic. Pretty cool.

Cindy, your Super IQ score is 125

Your overall intelligence quotient is the result of a scientifically-tested formula based on how many questions you answered correctly. But it's only part of what we learned about you from your answers on the test. We also determined the way you process information.

The way you think about things makes you a Creative Theorist. This means you are a highly intelligent, complex person. You are able to process information of nearly every kind with ease, using both creativity and analysis to make sense of the world. Compared to others you also have a very rich imagination.

How did we determine that your thinking style is that of a Creative Theorist? When we examined your test results further, we analyzed how you scored on 8 dimensions of intelligence: spatial, organizational, abstract reasoning, logical, mechanical, verbal, visual and numerical. The 3 dimensions you scored highest on combine to make you a Creative Theorist. Only 6 out of 1,000 people have this rare combination of abilities.

You can test your Super IQ too here. The only thing is you have to sign up for an account to get the summary results (something like what I have above). If you want a more detailed report, you have to pay - which I'm not going to do. :)

A follow up comment that came in an e-mail:

Cindy, your thinking style is Creative Theorist

Creative Theorists are highly imaginative and excel at being innovative and conjuring up notions of what could be.
